CS To Consulting: Reasonable Firm Targets
Hi everyone,
Currently a third-year (junior) at UVA majoring in Computer Science. My GPA is 4.00 and my ACT score is 35/36. I don't really have much work experience besides a summer research internship and a Software Engineering internship that I am doing this coming summer. Both at no-name companies/research institutions. I have some interesting ECs which show impact and initiative, but nothing groundbreaking.
Looking to break into consulting for full-time. Interested in what firms I could reasonably pass resume screen for/try to target with the above credentials. I'm especially interested in big 4 firms like Deloitte, PwC, EY etc because I had some friends who worked in their strategy and government/public services divisions who enjoyed their experience. Any thoughts here on what would be a reasonable target?
UVA is a target and 4.0 is a good look - shoot for MBB and T2 firms all will probably hire from there
