What should I do? - 23 year old from American University

My background:
German. 23 years old, BA from the American University in Cairo 3.9/4 GPA social science
Minors: business administration, economics

I've been based in the UK for four months, trying to break into consulting. I haven't caught a break. No interview, no callback, no nothing, even though I have more than 20 applications for entry level consulting/internships out there (for London usually, but I am utterly flexible as to any placement, I just want experience and to work!).

I would probably not do well in an interview. I have been studying using Cosentino's and Cheng's materials and am quite familiar with the frameworks, important questions, decorum etc. However, I realize more and more that it's a skill that needs to be practically tested, I haven't found anyone that can administer case interviews. I would so love to at least have a few options for interviews so I could experience them and gauge how I can improve.

I have so far been rejected from Oliver Wyman, Deloitte, Arthur D Little and PwC. While the other ones rejected me straight away, PwC was particularly disheartening, because they invited me to sit for the online tests and I scored above average on numerical and logical, but then was rejected a week later based on my HIGH SCHOOL RESULTS. I'm running low on funds and motivation.

Should I give up any hopes for a consulting career?

could be something that you've never thought would make a difference, your clothing, your eye contact (or lack of), communication skills, the way you laugh, or one of many other factors. If you can find a professional coach I'd suggest investing the money to get an honest assessment. If you can't afford or you can't find a coach then ask a successful friend or colleague to give you an honest assessment.

Not getting into consulting is not the end of world. You can try do an assessment by yourself to see what on the earth that you like and you can do well at.
