Cryptocurrencies doomed to fail: India is OUT

Cryptocurrencies have been a hot topic in finance with the potential to dominate the fintech industry. The world's second most populated country, according to Quartz India, has dropped out of the race.

'Our current position on bitcoins is that we will not be using it for any payments and settlements…though the technology underlying crypto-currencies will not end,' said S Ganesh Kumar, executive director of the RBI

The future of cryptocurrencies is, somehow, growing to be even more uncertain. Any thoughts on if any other major players (U.S., China, Russia) will follow suit?
