Legal Issues Owning Bitcoin?
Hello Everyone,
For those who work in banking, I was curious if you are able to own Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I know that you have to be careful with your personal investments while working in banking, but I wasn't sure if you are prohibited by law or the firm from owning cryptocurrencies. What have been your experiences?
Also curious about this. SEC recently released latest guidance on ICOs for the normal public: https://www.sec.gov/oiea/investor-alerts-and-bulletins/ib_coinofferings (basically a warning for investors to be careful).
However, I am not sure about the regulations/restrictions for someone working in IBD. My guess would be that probably none right now.
