XRP : Ripple Pump and Dump?

Ripple announced today that AMEX decided to use blockchain technology for payments using Ripple.
XRP since then peaked $0.25 from trading at $.20 range. It's back down to $.228 at the time of this post but might be steady around the .22 range.

Many are speculating XRP is a "pump and dump" altcoins. Anyone agree or disagree? I feel as though more banks will follow with their own blockchain technology and maybe entertain the idea of using Ripple but can we see a $1 or $2 breakout? AMEX taking a quite big leap of faith here for the cryptocurrency world.

All those alt-coins are terrible in my experience. Better off just going to Biopharmacatalyst.com, filter micro-caps waiting for approval, and throwing a dart.
