Failed Series 86 twice... Not sure how to proceed with passing it the third time

Hey guys, so I've failed the series 86 twice now. The first time I had a health issue that made me leave an hour and a half early from the test and just recently I failed it again by 6 points. I've exhausted the STC materials with an average of 88 on my first attempts for finals 1-5, (plus took each final twice) but I just can't seem to figure out what else to do from here. I understand the greenlight exams are the most representative of the material but even then I scored an average of 85 between the two of them, I'm extremely frustrated and nervous for my third attempt since I'm not sure how else to improve, any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the tough go on rounds one and two.

You mention STC scores. First time I took 86 (and failed) I was scoring 85%-88% on all final exams and had taken each two times. Second time (passed) I was scoring minimum 95%+ on all final exams. Process was final exam 1-5, greenlight 1-2, and repeat until I consistently scored 95%+ on all. You need to take more final exams and score higher.

My second attempts on the finals were low 90s, I thought that was a good indication but that's what I'll have to do. I wanted to avoid memorizing the questions and answers but there isn't much more material out there that I can use. Thanks for the insight.

That STC material is trash. Just bite the bullet and get knopman marks. You will be passing in no time or have your boss approve the KP materials and expense it

Yes I received approval to get the Knopman material, just too bad they don’t have any practice exams for the 86 but going to grind out their videos too. Thanks for the suggestion

The 86 is brutal. Had to take it when I was in ER and failed the first time by 2 questions... Key is to just grind out the practice questions and know what chapters/topics youre weak in and strengthen those. STC materials suck, but that was the only thing I had at the time. None of this was probably helpful but just keep grinding questions and really understanding what they're asking rather than memorizing the answer.

did you end up passing? Any tips because I am in the same predicament - on my last shot of taking the exam and exhausted the STC materials
