Hong Kong work visa question
Hi all,
I've accepted an offer from a BB firm to do Equity Research internship. I believe the firm will provide all the necessary paperwork for my Visa. However, I am not sure how this Visa works, can someone here who's gotten it shed some light on the basics of hong kong work Visa stuff? Also, did your firm do all the paper work for your work Visa in Hong Kong, or did you have to do all the work? I am curious as to how this is done.
Thanks!
well i interned in HK and also joined the same bank FT. Not sure what basics you are looking at, but this is how it went for me - the visa process was outsourced to a firm, who just asked for basic documents like my passport copies and resume. I also filled up a long form. Don't remember if anything else was asked. Just sent it across to these guys in HK, and received my visa in the mail a couple of weeks later. Very efficient. You just paste this visa on your passport and that's it. Not sure how long the visa was valid for though (a few months may be), and it is a multiple entry visa.
HELP! HK Work Visa (Originally Posted: 04/10/2008)
Hi all, I am currently preparing for the HK Work Visa of a summer internship. One of the documents they asked is a letter from the university stating that the internship trainning is relevant to my course studies. Can any one give me some advice on the contents and format of this letter? I study Economics and the internship is in Private Wealth Managenment. Thx!
