Hi Fellow Monkeys, I've been reading threads in this forum but so far have found limited advice/suggestions on equity research internships in Tokyo. I will be joining an internship in equity research at a BB investment bank in Tokyo soon, and was wondering if anyone who has had similar experience could kindly share his/her experience, and give me some advice on how to ace an ER internship in Tokyo and get a full-time offer. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Haven't personally done ER in Tokyo but I have friends who have. Generally the Asian model is more similar to the American research model than the European one. What I mean by that is there tends to be a lower number of analysts relative to companies covered, meaning the average analyst covers more stocks, but also has more associates under him. I'd mention the language thing, but I assume if you've already gotten the offer you're pretty good on the Japanese front. As for getting an offer, the same rules apply as in American BBs.
