Bwater --------

Any feedbacks from past (telephone) interviews for SA Investment/Management positions ?

What kind of technical questions ?
Any competency based questions ?

What are really the keys things to master ? Since there is not a lot to available to learn about HFs and Bridgewater in particular, I mean not as much as IBD and GS for example, what are you really supposed to know ?

I have good knowledge of stuff for IBD interviews, will it be enough ?

What would you say are the criterias/aptitudes they look for during interviews ?

I ll appreaciate your feedbacks and thoughts.

You know IBD shit. That's useful, only when you interview for IB SA positions. IBD and BWater are completely different, BWater is a quantitative fund. You have alot to learn about this. And what do you mean you have to know more about "IBD and GS for example". You have to know about the culture at BWater, it's pretty much a Ray Dalio cult over there.

Well I know that IBD and HFs are different for sure, what I mean is that its far more simple to learn about IBD and GS than HFs and Bwater => this is why I ask for Help !

Not sure I should mention any Ray Dalio cult during an interview

i have a friend who interviewed with them (made it to final round) and also met one of there associates on a flight. from what they told me its a different type of interview. they sit candidates down in a room and pose a debate topic and monitor the debate. they are really interested in your thought process and the reasoning behind your arguments. its tough to prepare for bc they can ask anything. from there they pick people to continue to the next round throughout the day. they look for the perfect fit and hold many superday type events where they dont even make an offer. great place to work that has a very open work environemnt where anyone can challenge the way things are done and they look for that in new hires.

I also had a friend who interviewed there. He basically said the same thing. A lot of it is fit. Extremely hard internship to get though. Having any type of IM background I am sure helps, my friend interned at Putnam summer before through a close friends Dad as they do not hire interns. He actually ended up interning for Bridgewater and turning down an offer with them after the summer to be able to be in New York. But great experience, good work environment and they set the interns up at a beach house for the summer.

I dont know why they Interview me to be honest..

I got no Investment Management internship, no alumns over there, and I am neither American citizen nor actually leaving in the US (think Europe), why would they go so far to hire an intern ?

Tel interview is tomorrow and I dont know how to prepare it ! Would they fly me over Cincinatti for a 2nd round ??
