Bump
225-250k
What are these stories I hear of people making 400-500k at citadel? Are they mostly in citsec or does the hedge fund also pay well?
Surveyor
For P72??????????????
For academy yeah. Base is like 130/140k usd. All in is around 225k
CAP is around 250 first year doesn’t matter whether GE, Surveyor or Ashler for comp. GFI is 400+.
Base, sure.
Bonus…
If you think any MM is paying 250 base for non-pm, you’re out your mind
any more data on GFI being 400? What's the reason for pay discrepancy between them and CAP
Probably because it's more quant heavy
What is % bonus range for academy, wondering since academy aso doesn’t really create any value lol
Bonus comes from conversion
What do you mean by bonus from conversion
What’s P72 comp for analysts that aren’t in the academy program? Say they’re coming from 1-2 years of IB
Same as a first year that graduated the academy
Is that same as the regular academy comp or a bit higher?
For MM out of college programs pros/cons as far as I know are (comps are first year only)
———————————————————
P72: (base: 135k, signing 25k, bonus 10-15k)
pros - most established good program, analyst-pm (no bs bureaucracy), highest base, the fund is L/S equity heavy, lowest turnover of MMs.
cons - academy is no joke - it actually is a challenging program, lower return rate (esp SA > FT)
———————————————————
MLP: (base: 110k, signing 15k, bonus 10-15k)
pros - training at UBS (more option having SS ER), same analyst - pm structure, two-year guarantee
cons - training at SS ER might not be enough to start right away at MLP, lowest comp
———————————————————
Citadel: (base: 120k, signing/bonus: unknown, 6m sponsored housing)
pros - 6m good housing (worth 30-40k), assuming comps is somewhat higher
cons - turmoil in their training program personnel, asso - an - pm structure (less freedom more bureaucracy), highest turnover out of these 3
———————————————————
Baly takes ug need-based but doesn’t have a formal program
this is as far as I know but welcoming any feedback
i think your numbers on p72 and citadel are too low… both are around 225k all in
225k all in for Y1 at the program out of college??
What is the pay for Y1 (non-academy / program) analyst at these pod shops then?
Citadel is approximately 140 base
P72 summer return is quite high, 80+, and the rest included a few pursuing other FT opportunities like PE
false on return rates for p72--85% for last years class.
Citadel averages out to around $240k, some higher some lower (think a reasonable range is $210 - $270), and I believe you get housing for 6 months.
It really depends on your contribution / your team / your PM.
Any advice for recruiting there Full-time? Interning at a BB IB this summer but looking to go a MM after graduation
Don’t be mid
Do the winter internship if p72
I think that already past for me, I'm doing IB BB SA this summer. Any advice to get into the full-time process? Do I just network with people and connect with biz dev. Does anyone have general timeline and any advice/resources to prep?
Do you know when the winter internship opens?
.
Anywhere from $200k - $1m. Depends on your performance, your team’s performance, and your PM. Analyst I’ve heard $250k - $4m+ as you have formulaic payout / run a carve-out. I have a large sample size and think it’s pretty uncommon to get zeroed out, so senior associate I’d say around $500k+ average, and analyst it really depends on your performance + deal with your PM
I was under the impression it is quite common to get 0’d out given most pods don’t make money in any given year. Can you expand on what you’ve seen? Thanks
