Hedge Fund Directory
Hello all,
I am a Junior at Northwestern (Economics/Statistics) with an interest in L/S Hedge Funds. I have had prior internships in PWM/ER, and am searching for an additional one at a smaller fund with <500MM AuM to have direct exposure in the investment-process from a leaner team.
I was wondering whether there is an inexpensive directory to cold-call Hedge Funds from, since most smaller funds are much more discrete in their operations. Whale Wisdom comes to mind, but their limited subscription to download 13-Fs requires $500, which is out-of-reach provided my financial situation.
Thanks.

your campus probably had a Bloomberg terminal just use the peop search function - filter out the bigger firms and boom
I believe that Bloomberg terminals are limited to Kellogg students, but will have to corroborate that.
Thanks for the advice!
Yeah, undergrad doesn’t get Bloomberg at NU
You can download a list of Form ADV filers under the following link: https://adviserinfo.sec.gov/compilation
I recall there is a field called AUM, then go one-by-one to figure out what strategy they employ (googling, checking for fund letters on reddit, etc.)
Thanks, man! You are the best!
Thanks -- and it would be difficult to express how useful this database has been in the past afternoon on a forum post.
