A friend of mine who worked as an expert network associate quit his job to start a newsletter where subscribers (for a small fee like 100-200 USD/month) can ask questions and the newsletter will source industry experts to answers the questions and publish the answers in the newsletter. He thinks the idea is disruptive and wants me to join him but I really can't tell if his idea is really good or just shit. Any feedback on the concept? Thanks

I can't give any feedback on it directly without further research but I can give some suggestions for where to dig. These are the same questions/thoughts I would apply to a startup if I were thinking of investing in it (back when I worked in VC): 1. What is this guys background? You said expert network associate was his job before. Do you know exactly what he did there? Does he have useful contacts (customers or experts) from that experience?
