Past Prop trader - Looking for a partner Quant Developer to start a fund

Hello I am a former prop trader and now Investment Analyst in a Asset Manager in London.

My aim is to co-fund my firm with the help of the right partner. My strategy is applicable to both daytrading and swing trading, mostly stocks and futures.

I am looking for a Quant to join me in the vision and help me convert my rules into a fully automated system: i am very excited about it, we have the opportunity to build something really big.

Please, reach out if you are very serious about it.

Thanks

Hello, thanks for posting. Why do you say so? I am feeling confused as I am not sure how to pick people that are as motivated and serious as i am. Suggestions? Thanks

I would say that this isn’t something you can force. As you go through your career, you will meet people that you will want to go into business with. Asking on a chat forum with 80% trolls is forcing the issue a bit.

What you need is to hire some programmers to code for you. Find someone in South Asia /SE Asia, they're cheap.

True quants don't do that, the scope of work you have for a 'Quant partner' is insulting to quants.

We are not creating alpha by automating some lizard brain 'feel the market' discretionary type of shit.

Are you speaking seriously? This level of rudeness is really insulting; let me tell you that I am looking for a person to complement my skills. I do not trade on "feel the market": I have models, everything is objective and if i explain the rules anyone can replicate what i do.

I have no idea how you put a neuron after the other when you decide to open your lips, but before saying anything that rude, please think about it.

A partner is not a sub-human is a person on the same level as you, the structure is horizontal: good teams form when each member skill complements the others.

Again, if your contribution to the conversation is just that, i kindly invite you to ignore my post: I am not here to hurt anyone feelings, it is a matter of genuine collaboration and, most importantly, respect between each other.

Thanks
