Drug Tests for Weed NYC 2022
Anyone know if NYC IBs still drug test for weed? Is it legal to get fired for weed in NY?
Would be open to anyone’s experiences at GS/MS to Euro-BBs to EBs to Tobin & Co/FT Partners.
Any fun experiences would be dope too.

It is illegal in New York to discriminate in hiring practices based on marijuana usage. That isn’t exactly saying it’s illegal to drug test people for THC, but it is tantamount to the same thing because if someone test positive, you can’t not hire them for that reason.
I wonder if they’re even allowed to test given the way the law is phrased… doubt it
Realistically, how long of a smoke break is needed for a frequent smoker to clear a drug screen?
Heavy usage can go as long as a month I’ve read. Personally, I’ve done heavy usage for weeks on end, and it took me less than two weeks to pass a drug test. It might have to do with how fat you are, as thc is stores in fat cells so skinnier people have an easier time getting it out of their system. I’m a healthy weight, for reference.
21 days to be exact but it can be less if you haven’t smoked as much
I don't know anyone who has been tested in the last 2 years. I think drug testing is dead for IB except for maybe some wack MM shops (heard stuff about Lincoln). Any BB, EB, major international bank you will be fine.
I don't know anyone who has been tested past two years either but just assumed that was because covid likely made it a big hassle to facilitate. This year could be different though
You might be right, but even before covid some BBs were doing away with drug tests. Either way I'm banking on them not testing us covid hires now haha...we're way too valuable at this point after ramping up
