maybe MS wins in relative terms, but there isn't really such a thing as a major "blue blooded" bank out there. the WASP establishment is dead, at least as far as people like us are concerned. the CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD is "the son of Lebanese immigrants." hello?

And one of the co-presidents is a Greek woman.

I think the Morgan stereotype of being blue-blooded is very outdated. When I interviewed there, I spoke with Jews, Blacks, women, Asians, etc. WASP males seemed to be the minority (though this could be a coincidence of who I met).

I would actually say Deutsche Bank and Bear Stearns seem to be the most "blue-blooded" from my experience.

john mack - i absouletly started laughing when I saw monte de paschi up there. Good call. For those of you that don't know, they're the world's oldest bank and they present themselves as the pope's bank. probably worth a consideration when thinking about blood-line, but obviously more of a regional commerical bank versus an investment bank.

Another vote for Morgan. House of Morgan is a good read for those of you wanting to know a bit more about the history of IB.
