Rounding from 3.75 -> 3.8
Just got my grades and I’m at a 3.75.
I’m a sophomore and recruiting season is this spring so banks will see this gpa. Is it fine to round to 3.8?

Career Resources
Yes that’s fine. People show GPA to 1 decimal the vast majority of the time.
3.8 is a good gpa to go into recruiting, especially if you’re from a good school
I’m at a target school. Thanks a lot!
yoo sickk, which target if u dont mind?
Hey so one question, im a beginner. So now if you put a 3.8 on your resume, they will check your transcript as well correct?
Not 100% sure but HR runs background checks and stuff so probably
Bro its not that deep. Ur not rounding a 3.1 to 4.0
Better to be safe than sorry
I don’t think it’ll matter. It’s not like 3.45-3.5, rather inconsequential. Personally, id leave it as 3.75 to appear more honest and confident. 3.8 = 3.75 in my mind but that extra decimal gives you the opportunity to present yourself as a dude of character with no real cost.
These are the some of the worst topics. Shocking you can have a ~3.8 and not know how to round to one decimal.
Do this…
Open excel
Type your gpa to 2 decimal “0.00”
Change cell format to “0.0”
There’s your answer…
Yes HR will check your gpa.
You could just say yes
???
You can just say yes, its acceptable to round it to 3.8. Weren't you a college student that had to learn about things too?
Rounding numbers something you should have learned in elementary school. You could have learned there, or used Google, or excel or used the search feature on this site.
Don’t know why you’re trying to give me advice… you’re the one asking for it.
Not trying to give advice, I just wanted to see if it is acceptable to round my gpa, thats all.
???
I wasn't asking how to round up, I was just seeing if it is ok to round up on my resume. I'm still young and don't know the generally accepted practice so thats why I'm asking. I'm sorry if it was a stupid post or something you didn't like, I don't want to argue with you, just was looking for some clarification.
How can you be a VP and be such a moron
I've heard of offers getting sent back because of this. 3.75 is already a great gpa and not worth the risk. Plus why lie?
