Exit Opportunities for newly ACA qualified at Tier 2 IB

Graduated in 2017 with a BSc Finance degree from a top business school in the U.K. Joined a finance graduate scheme at a Tier 2 IB, where I studied for the ACA exams, in which I've recently become newly qualified. I've done year long rotations in GM Product Control, Prudential Regulatory Reporting / Treasury and GM Middle Office. Now that I'm fully qualified, I want to consider other roles and was curious if anyone had any advice on what could suit my profile/background?

Well, what are you interested in? Do you want to stay in MO? Do you want to break into a sell-side role in a bank? Do you want to do consulting? What I'd do in your place is I'd list everything I'd like to be doing, and then analyse what is it that gives me the best chances.

With an ACA you could do an M&A or Capital Markets advisory at Big4, or try to switch to the FO at your current bank, if they allow it.

“Destiny is a gift. Some go their entire lives, living existences of quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon their shoulders is really a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights. Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor, that to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means to be a hero. Don’t think. Become.”
