Getting into Finance - Advice in regards to which university
Hello there,
A friend of mine recommended this site here as I'm really interessted in getting into finance and I would appreciate your advice. This is my background, I'm 24 from germany and i didnt finish my final highschool exam but i will do those this year. I've been working abroad since I left school and I'd really love to get into finance.
Would you guys have any advice for me as regards what results I'd have to have and what university in europe would be best to study finance in.Im currently in the UK.
And also if im honest im still not sure if its investment banking or trading that would be for me.
Thanks for any help.
Investment Banking is very competitive and not graduating high school then taking 6 years off puts you at a big disadvantage. There are a lot of great universities in the UK for finance/economics, top schools (LSE, Cambridge, Oxford) will probably be out of your reach based on the information you've given. I'd suggest you try to get in anywhere do a Commerce degree and study like fucking crazy. If you get a 1:1 even if its from a non-target college you'll still be considered for a top ranking post graduate program. Good Luck
Thanks for your reply mate. Would I need the same results to expect to get into trading or is trading somewhat easier to get into?
