Getting overlooked by NY IB firms completely due to average GPA?

Hello, current sophomore Economics major (non business major) at a school that is a top target with a Business program (think Penn CAS, NYU CAS, UMICH LSA, UCB L&S) with a 3.5-3.64 gpa.

Hoping to land a Summer 2023 SA at a NY firm. Pretty heavily involved in investment organizations with leadership positions, have 2 relevant internships (1 Corp Fin, Another Fall IB internship) and an upcoming IB summer internship. I am networking as hard as I can and I know my technicals cold but will I stand a chance at BBs / top MMs / or EBs given my GPA? I am feeling quite disappointed as I know there is a multitude of 3.8+ hardos out there who probably look better than me on paper.

I feel like no - but difficult to tell with this recruiting cycle. I think a 3.5+ gpa from a good school warrants a look at the rest of your resume IMO

3.4 GPA when I recruited, landed 3 top offers from EB's and BB's. GPA isn't as much of a hinderance as you think. Network more and study harder. Good luck man
