I've never done this myself or seen candidates do so.

To be honest though, I feel like even though I definitely wouldn't expect it, if someone did so I'd probably remember and think "This is a sharp / prepared person - the same type who might go out of their way to send me a sheet of industry comps before a meeting without my asking. That's good"

So while you shouldn't expect to need to (don't panic if you haven't), actually it might come across well and make you stand out.

I do. I had one superday where I expected to meet ~20 bankers (most of the group) and I brought 25 copies. They all had a copy so it was definitely overkill, but I personally don’t want to take the risk of a banker expecting to get my resume and me not having one to give. It costs basically nothing and I keep them in my notepad. It would just be a bad first impression and show poor preparation if I needed them and didn’t have any. With coffee chats on campus, bankers expect me to supply a copy probably 50% of the time.

i did this at campus coffee chats for GS, was the only one to do it, and got my resume flagged for doing so. Always do the old timey shit. As much as everyone says things have changed in this industry, behind closed doors, not much has changed.

It's one of those things that has basically no downside and a lot of potential upside if people are impressed you're so prepared...

just get a little folder or folio, keep it in your briefcase and offer it to people in the first minute. I'm a bit older but I did this in every interview a couple years back and it always got things off to a good start

Everyone at my superday brought copies of their resume except for me. Interviewees all had a copy and I still ended up getting an offer. So, I don't think it matters too much but I did feel a bit unprepared being the only one not to bring it and folks at another firm might take notice. TLDR; just bring some - it takes a few minutes.

If it’s nicely formatted and I already had an electronic copy but you brought a paper one and it was in perfect shape (like in a dossier) I’d have more respect for you and would have something physical to take away from the one (of countless) interviews.

Can only help IMO unless someone interviewing you is a megadouche.
