Based on the WSO content, it's increasingly important for candidates aiming for roles in Sales & Trading (S&T) to have some coding knowledge. This is especially true in the U.S. market, where coding is becoming a standard requirement. In Europe and APAC, while it's more of a "nice to have," becoming proficient in coding can certainly enhance your profile.
For your CV, particularly for a markets type role like S&T, incorporating coding projects could make you stand out. It shows not only your technical skills but also your initiative and ability to handle the quantitative aspects of the job. If you haven't already, consider including any relevant coursework or projects involving programming languages commonly used in finance, such as Python or R.
Additionally, ensure your CV highlights any analytical skills, mathematical prowess, and any practical experience you might have that is relevant to trading or financial markets. Remember, clarity and relevance in your CV are key to catching the eye of recruiters in highly competitive fields like S&T.
