MSc In Finance or other?

Can anyone tell me if Analytics are essential /useful for trading nowadays?
I’ve been reading that Citadel requires knowledge of Python/R/etc. and strong quantitative skills.

I have a non-quantitative and non-finance background but I’m considering to do a Pre-MBA Master’s in my home country (South America). However, I don’t know if the master’s should be in Finance (+ CFA) or Analytics.

Career Path: Master > US MBA (Finance Concentration) > IB/AM > HF
