MSF program helpful?

Hi all,

I am a rising senior at a non target in the south, majoring in computer science with a 3.8 GPA. I became interested in investment banking fairly recently, and lack any work experience or networking related to IB. I understand I am incredibly late for SA 2022 recruiting and am unlikely to land a solid internship. I'm planning on cold emailing boutique banks in the NYC area for possible winter 2022 or spring 2023 analyst position. I am also planning applying to an MSF program after my graduation which would be Fall 2022. What program places the most into BBs and EBs? Which is the best MSF program in your opinions? Any input is appreciated.

The best MSF program is MIT, but as you would expect it is very selective. Princeton is up there as well in terms of placements and selectivity. I have heard good things about Vanderbilt, USC, UT-Austin, and Wash U. and they place decently well into IB. Then I would say IU, Georgetown, Villanova and BC pretty much round out the list. The last few programs I mentioned don’t send a ton of kids to IB but their alumni connections are pretty strong, so if you work your ass off and network you could definitely break in.
