Resume - include math gpa if major is not math?
I'm looking to get a trading internship next summer at BB. I'm an engineer at a target. Because I haven't taken many "major" classes yet, my major GPA is lower than my cumulative gpa (because the cum gpa includes easy intro classes).
However, I have taken 4 math courses (single var calc, multi var calc, lin. alg, and dif eq) and my GPA in those classes is much higher than my cum gpa.
Should I include both a cum gpa and a math gpa if my major is not math and some of my math classes are pretty basic? I think it might let of a signal that my major GPA is low, and that's why I included my math but not my major.
It will look stupid.
Don't do it. It looks really odd.
if you're not a math major, just put your cumulative major and don't worry about . A lot of the time, people do it the other way around b/c their cumulative is significantly less than their major gpa.
if they want to know your major gpa, they'll ask you in an interview..if you get one.
