Too late for me?
I’m 21 y male. Last year of undergrad in management without prior work experience in IB cause I thought it was not the right field for me. Only now I realize I would like to start a career in banking. I will be doing a 2 years MSc at Bocconi in Finance (I’m also completing my bachelor at Bocconi).
Do I have any chance of landing a summer internship for summer 2025 if I apply this year? I have 4.0 GPA, scholarship as top 1% of my school, exchange at LSE with gpa of 75%, but I feel that with these market conditions the grades are the bare minimum. I will do an internship in a no brand M&A boutique in Milan this summer.
Which moves should I pull? How do I prepare? Best material to get ready for hypothetical superdays?
What do you mean too late? You'll be one of the youngest people at any bank once you start. No one cares about grades that much (I was bottom 5% of my class and still got interviews at GS/MS/JP/EBs after revealing those to them) so you're more than fine
