UC Berkeley non-Haas vs UCSD vs UCLA
Hi everyone. I was accepted into the above-mentioned colleges as a junior transfer, and I'm having trouble deciding where to attend. I'd like to get into IB or consulting. At Berkeley, the major I was accepted into is Political Economy. UCLA is Pol Sci, and UCSD is int. business. Considering I'll be a junior in the fall, do I have decent chances of getting into either industry from these colleges? If so, which option is the best for me? Is it too late? Thank you for your responses.
First year at ucla here. Transfers are kinda fucked here because no clubs will accept you if you’re past 2nd year. Realistically only first years have good chances at these clubs.
No undergrad biz school means major doesn’t matter, clubs do a lot more.
Probably would go to Berkeley ngl, their programs are just more respected.
Very helpful information, thank you.
IB SA recruiting happens in Spring of Sophomore year and so you've already missed the boat on that. Consulting recruiting happens in fall of your junior year, so you could do that but you'd really need to hit the ground running after a summer internship and learning how to case in the summer as well. For IB/Consulting UCSD doesn't place so it comes down to Berkeley or UCLA.
