Buying / leasing a car in London

How feasible is it to buy or lease a car in London, assuming you are well paid (GBP 100k+)? The cars themselves aren't too expensive, but shit like the congestion charge and lack of parking spaces makes me question this

Sure it's efficient but it gets uncomfortably crowded, is noisy to the point of causing hearing damage (the screeching), and is really inconvenient when it rains

I suggest, you consider the following:

ICE vs EV

Using public transportation vs Uber vs own transportation.

ICE? I could take an Uber I suppose, I'm not a big fan of the tube for the reasons mentioned in my previous comment. I'm a massive car fanatic so naturally love driving haha

I put in ICE due to how much Petrol costs in the UK, plus road tax and other expenses people have to pay for owning a car in London, I forgot to include parking tickets which some London boroughs love handing out. If none of these affect you then, I suggest a 458 or an Evo.

I would definitely get a car. For 10 to 15k you can get a nice used A-Class or BMW 1 series.

Parking on weekends is mostly free, even in C.London too.

If you want something fun the insurance and maintenance costs will be high as well. Maybe just rent a car every now and then on the weekend. If you're in IB it'll likely be cheaper on a per use basis (assuming you'd mostly use it on the weekends anyway)
