Does this change my destiny?

Recently, a fortune teller told me that I will become an investment banker. I have an interview next week, but if I choose not to prepare for the technicals, will my destiny be altered? I guess this revolves around a more philosophical question on free will, but would like to hear some thoughts.

Yup it will, because fortune telling is like a probability game. It will just give you the most likely outcome given the status quo.

OP: I want to be an investment banker

Fortune Teller: You will become an investment banker

OP: Wow, that is great to hear!

Fortune Teller: Now give me $40 bucks
