Living in Edmonton, Alberta
Hey
I am wondering if anyone is living in Edmonton and wants to give me some insights on the life in this city.
My questions are..
- Overall: Do you enjoy living there?
- How hard is it to get along with the weather in winter?
- How's the nightlife? I read that all the clubs close at 2am?!
- Is it possible to go skiing near Edmonton or do you have to travel some hours?
- Would you recommend spending your semester abroad in Edmonton, or is it better to go elsewhere?
Thanks in advance
You should honestly be banned from these boards for this
Haha
Haha nice
Unfortunately I'm kind of attracted to the Rockies..
HAHAHAHAHAHA - Yes, elsewhere if you can! Go somewhere with culture, warmth, hotties or some combination thereof.
I hope you love hockey...
Where are you from? What made you decide on Edmonton? There is some nightlife but yes bars stop serving liquor at 2am and close by 2:30/3am (due to liquor laws in the province)
Go to Calgary instead (if you must). Calgary has the advantage of being close to Banff which has incredible skiing / snowboarding. Drive is approx 1.5 hrs, but just depends which hill you go to, many to choose from. Otherwise just go abroad elsewhere where you can get a lot more culture, fun, different experiences. Way better options out there
go to Toronto if you MUST be in Canada, personally i was in Midwest for 4yrs and after living in LA i hate snow. Come to LA you'll get laid most nights.
Just don't do it. Goto BC if you want to be near the Rockies and snowboards.
