so many choices...montana? either dakota? wyoming? w. virginia? idaho? nebraska? and alabama's a real shithole none of these really have anything going for them in my opinion

Most exciting in order: 1.NY (cause of nyc of course) 2.CA (SF, LA, others, also for whole trendy/hippie/techie culture) 3.FL (my hometown MIAMI for unabashed fun and sexuality) 4.IL (Chicago, overall second best city but rest of IL brings it down)

*Washington def isn't most boring. What about Seattle? It's a large beautiful city thats known for being the metropolitian area with the highest percentage of high school graduates among subjects aged 25 or older.

Iowa, North Dakota, and New Mexico (a real crap shoot)are the first that come to mind.

Nothing too redeeming about Arkansas either. Also never really enjoyed being in Ohio or Indiana.

Never been, never want to go to... Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Arkansas, Oklahoma.

Montana? Robert Redford is said to have a house there and since I absolutely love him I can't dismiss Montana.

Idaho is actually a beautiful place to visit, lots of national parks and lakes. I would say it's probably one of the most underrated states. Wyoming also has some breath taking landscapes.

I know a number of people who frequently party it up in Wisconsin. I wouldn't say it is that boring.

Also, I bet the majority of people claim states to be boring because of impressions that they've received, not from actually going there. As such, I feel justified in wildly throwing out states that sound boring to me!

Montana -- Man, what a worthless state. It is so far in the middle of nowhere that it isn't even a convenient state to fly over, much less visit!

North Dakota -- What's worse than being in the middle of nowhere? Being in the middle of nowhere and freezing your ass off! Too bad the nearest shelter is 50 miles away, and it probably doesn't have electricity either!

Alaska -- Um, hello? Does anybody even live here?

Okay, that was fun.

I once worked with someone from Alaska. He was a pretty cool dude. Lotsa land up there. Kind of cold I'd imagine.

Does anyone know where these "dry counties" exist? Cause those are prolly THE most boring sections of a state ever.

Dry counties are in the south/bible belt. For example, I think the Tennessee county in which Jack Daniels is made is actually dry. It goes back to the crazy ultra-conservatives and bible thumpers who felt it was their duty to keep society in check with their personal morals. There aren't many of them now but even in the relatively progressive suburban city in the south where I grew up, we didn't have liquor stores and you had to go the next town over. And you couldn't buy any alcohol at all on Sundays in the whole state... The no alcohol on Sunday law had slightly better rationale in that way back when Sundays were a day to pack the family into your car and drive around or head into the country or whatever. Plus you had the additional traffic of churchgoers. The thinking was if we don't sell booze on Sunday...there'll be less accidents...(ok so the logic's still not great...)

CT doesn't sell alcohol on Sundays. They cover up the entire section in the Stop and Shop.

no way wisconsin is boring with madison and our love for all things alcohol. ive been to iowa and its boring as hell, just a bunch of hicks like everyone expects.

Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota are actually some of the most beautiful and adventurous states for those who enjoy the outdoors, hiking and the mountains. Alaska is another one of my personal favorites. I would love to have another residence in any of those states (particularly the first three) at some point. That being said, I would have to choose Iowa as probably the most boring.

Believe it or not, Texas is pretty boring too...nothing but wheat fields and cows. When I was 6, I think my parents drove from one end of San Antonio to the other about 6 times until they realized that San Antonio is somewhere in the middle.

Great, you drove through Texas when you were 6. Thanks for your input. Keep chugging those nattys till you pass out in your dorm man!

Dallas has great clubs and beautiful (materialistic) women. South Padre, Austin, San Antonio...great places to party. Don't believe me?-read the last Maxim, Dallas makes the list on top party cities.

iowas not bad at all, depending on where you go. i will admit about 80% or more of the state is small towns full of hicks and nothing to do, however iowa city, having the university of iowa, is alright (i would venture to guess any college town would be alright, haveing 10,000+ college girls at bars or parties any random weekend).cedar rapids is alright also, but besides cedar rapids, iowa city, des moines and a few other cities, yes it probably is pretty boring
