Failure

I am good at literally nothing marketable. nada. Nope. Whatever you're thinking? tried and failed. Oh, that other thing? Failed out of it. I'm not just mid in my career--I'm fucking things up in my personal life, too. What do you do with a skillset where you...just eventually fail publicly?

Don't say something like writing or politics as we know those are not real careers.

Hey there, I can see you're feeling pretty down right now. But remember, everyone faces setbacks and failures at some point in their life. It's not the end of the world, even though it might feel like it right now.

The key is to learn from these failures. They can be pivot points for improvement. It's not about never failing, it's about how you react and adapt to these failures. They can ultimately define your success.

Also, it's important to remember that success is not a straight path. It's full of ups and downs. Sometimes, failure can open up new possibilities that you hadn't considered before.

So, take a deep breath, pick yourself up, and keep going. You're stronger than you think. And remember, it's never too late to start over and try something new.

If you are aware of your failings and mistakes.... just stop?

Not trying to sound pithy; but legit asking. What is preventing you from doing things differently?

unironically we don't know. Could be fear of making the wrong move.  I had a professor in college say this. Why it didn't register at that time, I don't really understand. I have enough stories of racing into action. Then fucking up without an exit plan. Think of any time you forced yourself into a situation without fully letting the data come out--that's why I try to avoid forcing things, but then I wait "until the season has passed" so I don't enter a scenario where I fuck up for lack of preparation in stead.

It sounds like you're self-aware of a lot of things, which gives you a lot of power to cure these issues if you're willing to make the commitment to doing it and acting based on what that commitment requires. Change is tough, but it gets easier the more you do it. Talk to a professional.

If you’re so good at failing you should join a failure competition but you’d get second place still because you’d fail to win.
