Best questions to learn more about PE firm & work they do

I'm an undergraduate interested in growth and buyout investing, and I'm told that some good questions to ask when I am networking with others are "what kind of investing do you do / what's your firm's investment strategy" and "how do you do value creation." I'm wondering if there's a way I can get more out of my calls by being more specific, but I'm not sure how I can be more specific (or why even ask) when 1) a PE firm always has their investment target criteria / strategy on their website and 2) I don't know enough about the industry as I'm an undergrad to really ask specific questions about how they focus on creating value.

I really want to get more out of my networking calls and thought I could start from here. Any insights?
