EXIT OPS

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the exit ops might be from Summit Partners? It a well known pe firm, but its more about cold calling than structuring deals. Is it possible to move to a buyout fund after working there for a couple of years?

thanks

Summit has a strong reputation and the senior folks are extremely well connected. My general sense is that you'd still be an interesting candidate for a buyout fund. If you go there, you'll of course want to try to maximize your exposure to deals and make sure you're well liked so that they'll help you when you're ready to move on.

If you don't get good insight from people who reply to your post, check out LinkedIn if you have a profile and connections there. If you search "Summit Partners" you'll see a list of where people come from and where they go afterward. It's a nice feature.
