Fintech PE

Hey guys, I signed with a top MM TMT shop in my state and will be joining their Fintech buyout group soon. Just wondering if anyone knows if it can exit into GE / VC, corp dev, or MF

Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi - I spend a lot of time in fintech specifically as a growth investor. I think this could be a great move for you - in general, building up expertise in any fast growing industry segment will help you specialize and make you an attractive candidate for firms focused on that. While fintech took a hit recently, I’d separate out high flying consumer business models that traded at high valuations from the core premise - a refresh cycle in the technology underlying one of the world’s largest industries. Good luck!
