How hard to get into PE (non-citizen)
Hey guys, I'd like to pick your brain for my mid-term plan...
I joined mid-cap PE right out of undergraduate in one of Asian countires and curretnly thinking to apply for MBA next year for relocation to NY or HK.
So, if I get accepted, I will go to MBA with 3.5 year experience in PE (Jan '16 ~ Jun '19). I love PE work and therefore the only reason of MBA is relocation. I've always dreamed of working in bigger market such as NY.
However, I heard that getting H1B Visa is really hard and it will be harder considering trump.....
So, if there is anyone who know about how feasible to get into PE as of non-citizen, please give me some advice.
Thx
If you study in the US and then get a Visa, it should not be an issue. I saw other people doing this, an alternative would be to join a fund with a US office and move internally.
Thx to the reply. So the key is getting H1B Visa but as far as i know it's lottery....
