Looking for updated views on Levine Leichtman Capital Partners out of LA. Sentiment was that the culture was notably shitty when Levine and Leichtman led the firm. Not that helpful but listened to an interesting podcast with Matthew Frankel from LLCP (The Private Equity Podcast). Seemed really sharp and had a unique perspective.
Will give it a listen but definitely interested on insight on the culture in the Beverly Hills office, esp relative to 5-6 years ago
To be clear, it is Levine that is the nightmare. Leichtmann isn't really that involved. Despite both of them moving to Florida, Levine is still very much involved in the business and makes everyone's lives miserable. He is a complete nutjob. Avoid.
