Premier PE in India vs. IQVIA Emerging BioPharma in U.S for sophomore summer internship

Hey all, I just finished my sophomore year, I'm grappling with a decision and I'd appreciate your insights. I've been exploring IB, but my success in landing an offer has been limited so far(4 first rounds and 2 superdays). I have two potential opportunities at present for this summer:

  1. An internship at a prominent PE firm managing a $7-8 billion AUM fund in India. This opportunity came through family connections. I'd be working with the distressed investing team, promising a uniquely enriching experience that will truly make me more seasoned at finance and know a lot. The downside is the geographical distance, limiting potential return offers and possibly impacting future career trajectories. I’m not sure how feasible IB is at this point since recruiting for a lot of places is already over. However it is my preferred industry and this internship is very valuable to that
  2. An emerging biopharma internship at IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare, within their consulting division. This is in US  and could potentially lead to a return offer or boost my profile in future recruitment rounds because IQVIA is a big name. It seems like it could be a great pivot into the healthcare consulting space. IQVIA along with places like Clearview is a very desirable place for healthcare consulting. The role isn't exactly consulting, but it involves evaluating molecules, developing go-to-market  , and liaising with clients. I have always been somewhat of a STEM person and it would be cool to learn about all these molecules with massive potential and hopefully help guide them into future drugs on the market. It's an interesting role, but it may not offer the unique experience a large PE fund would.

In a nutshell, it's a choice between a PE internship that could be a game-changer but comes with logistical challenges, and a major healthcare company that could serve as a solid stepping stone in the industry, albeit perhaps less extraordinary. I also have to realize that getting into IB might not be feasible at this point and my hunch tells me if I have to explore other areas of finance or business the IQVIA name and experience would be better. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
