Private Equity Firms in Florida
I'm an incoming IB analyst in M&A at a MM bank in New York. Looking at PE options around the country. What are some of the reputable Private Equity firms in Florida?

Career Resources
HIG probably the best, followed by Sun, Comvest, AE Industrial Partners. Some smaller ones like Blue Sea (Brockway Moran spinoff)
HIG is probably the largest and most reputable private equity firm who's HQ is in Florida. I think they have something like $40B+ AUM at this point. More firms from New York are opening up offices in Miami due to the appeal of lower state taxes and weather. For instance, Thoma Bravo recently announced the opening of a new office in Florida and so did Elliott Management.
Thoma bravo
If interested in infrastructure I-squared is down there. I believe 12b for their last fund.
Not sure if they recruit for their PE arm down there but Elliott moved their HQ to west palm.
Trivest is very solid but also very lower middle market. They've had excellent returns over the years and a pretty great culture.
Nice reference - Trivest is a great shop in the LMM
Does Trivest use HH's for recruiting? Any idea which one?
Any info on comp/hours?
Anyone here in South Florida that’s had experience in PE? I’d really appreciate getting some advice as I’m currently navigating finding a job down here and been having some trouble.
Thoma Bravo’s Miami office
Boyne Capital, Mangrove Equity, KLH Capital are a few others
ISquared for infra.
Will any of these hire analysts or interns?
Some additional thoughts based on HQ in FL:
MM Funds
Lower MM Funds
Would it be dumb to assume less hrs than banking in nyc?
It’s always so firm dependent. Both of the MMs in bullet tooth’s list are known to grind. LMMs vary so much in terms of their success and level of activity. I work at one of the firms in the list above and I probably average 80 hours per week
