Infra.

hot growing sector and definition is constantly changing. Breadth of Infra also expands into into corporate PE (anything business that displays stable cash flows) and real estate PE (data centres) thus work is a lot more broad and interesting. Given amount of funds being raised relative to amount of people working for those funds, I hear some funds paying even higher than corporate PE (ie GIP & stonepeak)

Infra is a cooler asset class if you're at a fund that has a mandate to invest in a variety of asset types. It may be boring if you're at a fund like CIP that only looks at renewables or only looks at nat gas power plants.

Infra also looks at operating business which is cooler IMO then real estate.

I've looked at both infra and real estate in my career and I think infra is way more interesting. But it's also way more technical and sweaty. So you'll need to factor that in too.

I would note that a lot of the top REPE funds (such as Bx, Centerbridge, TPG etc.) invest on both a company and asset level (primarily company level). So you'd get exposure to both. BX for example has bought Great Wolf Lodge, but they also bought Bellagio (Las Vegas Hotel)
