Best colleges for breaking into Latin American REPE?

Hey Monkeys,

Currently grinding at a non-target in the Northeast, majoring in finance. Long-term, I'm laser-focused on breaking into the Latin American PE scene (Preferably REPE)—be it Miami or LATAM itself. Got some hands-on experience back at home at a pretty big investment fund, so I'm not a total noob. Would that give me some juice for my first internship here?

Trying to strategize my next move. I'm caught between pivoting to civil engineering at a UC or Purdue (and getting a MBA after) versus doubling down on finance at FIU or other schools in Florida (given the Miami-LATAM connection).

Would love to hear your takes on this. What's the play here?

Cheers,

Ingrohiik
