How do we feel about Colony Capital these days?
Hello everybody,
I am looking into some full-time opportunities on the equity side in Acq and I am curious what the view on Colony Capital is these days, particularly as an entry level analyst looking to start their career with solid branding/institutional experience/deal flow etc etc blah blah blah...
I know they had some difficulties with the Northstar merger and that lead to a number of growing pains/consolidation, particularly between teams, and was wondering if they had largely gotten over that?
The recent news doesn't seem too negative but its hard to get a pulse for what the pros think, especially as a lowly intern.
Would love thoughts!
Hi goskins5, the silence is deafening, sorry about that.... Any of the threads below helpful?
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
I'd say interning at Colony wouldn't hurt at all. Super institutional shop regardless of the headlines with Northstar and Barrack. They're all really well-connected folks in LA and an internship there would open a lot of doors for you.
Full-time gigs may be a different story.
