Moving to Middle East and coming back

Hi everyone, I am considering an offer for a real estate private equity position in Doha, Qatar.
The team is fairly small, they cover both acquisition and asset management mainly on UK, Europe and US, and I think I can get good exposure.
What are your views on doing a few years there and then moving to London? I am currently based in a European local office of one of the major funds, but I would like to have more exposure to different geographies and asset classes.

Do you think it could be a good experience or do you see it as a career killer move?

Thanks!

Do you hold a British passport ? If not the career killer will come from the current immigration policy : you'll need sponsorship. It has been so difficult for people outside the UK to find jobs in London. Graduates from target European Business Schools do not even bother anymore

Then try and get a UK  passport before you leave because your return might not be straightforward without sponsorship...

Are you in Doha? How long have you been there now? I would actually move with family, not alone and I believe that could help
