Sourcing sale and expense comps for a new appraiser in DFW
Hi all, I'm an appraiser who typically works on offices, apartments, and hotels. I am currently expanding my business to the DFW area; however, with Texas being a nondisclosure state, I'm going to run into issues for sale comps. I have a relationship with an attorney there who can feed me some sale and expense comps, but I obviously need to expand my network. As a broker, appraiser, or someone in the industry with this kind of data, what would you want from me in exchange for that data? My sale and expense comps? A nice dinner? A trip to Greece???
