Can I balance Division 1 sports while in finance?

I'm majoring in finance, in a pretty decent business school in Chicago. I've gotten an offer to do athletics while I'm there but I am concerned that I won't have enough time for networking and all the other things needed to land a competitive career, like investment banking. Do recruiters like to see athletics on a resume, or would it be too much?

I play a sport in my school right now, and still managed to land an IB offer. Do not get me wrong, it was a lot of late nights, skipping hanging out with friends, and always studying/networking/mock interviewing. In my opinion it is not great for any balance of a normal college student, but I think it was all worth it in the end. Take this with a grain of salt, as some people have different working habits than others. If you are someone that will put in the work no matter the circumstance, then you will 100% be ok.

Depends on the sport tbh. D1 fencing / waterpolo does not require the same time commitment as basketball / football.
