Deal Sheet vs Resume

Seeking some advice on whether to have a resume with 2 to 3 selected engagements or have a basic resume plus a separate one-pager that lists out some representative engagements.

I would also appreciate any general advice on describing the projects and my role (what you've done that worked or seen others do and liked).

Background:

I worked at a small no-name shop so I'd like to demonstrate my experience and knowledge, but the deals were with small private companies and investors mixed between buy-side and sell-side advisory. The only "impressive" engagements I worked on were for fairness opinions for publicly traded companies. I'm not sure if it helps to show a variety in my projects or if the relatively high engagement volume would speak positively to my abilities. Just trying to figure out how to best position myself in this tough job market.
