Interests Tier List 2020

Here are my thoughts for the interests/hobbies section on an IB resume. As a prospect, I want to make sure that my resume is as perfect as possible. Although I come from a top target (think Harvard/Wharton/Stern), I am also a transfer from another target (think Cornell/Dartmouth/IU Kelley) and one can never be too certain.

God-Tier Target:
Wall Street Oasis Editor

Super Target (In Order):
Golf
NYC / Boston Sports
Powerlifting / bodybuilding
Squash

Target (In Order):
Reading
Sailing
Running
Tennis / Surfing / Basketball
Traveling

Semi-Target (In Order):
Poker
Hiking
Martial Arts
Ultimate Frisbee
Cooking

Non-Target (In Order):
Drawing
Swimming / Softball / Volleyball
Video-games

Not Respected:
Chess
Crossfit (Subjective)

This is actually a pretty solid troll post. I enjoyed the various nuances and references to other popular topics / threads on this site. For example, you put schools like Stern and IU Kelley with Ivies, and you mentioned Chess as not respected, referencing a recent thread around the controversial nature of putting Chess on one's resume.

Overall, good job!

I’ll take a stab at this:

God Tier: jacking off constantly. like leaving meetings to jack off. no one can not respect that. showing up to interviews in jeans

Super Target: golf skiing backstabbing your peers to get ahead in all aspects of life. killer instinct = win deals. chicken wings. hot buffalo level spice and above only.

Target: backgammon slapping people’s phones down when they try and take a concert snap/meal snap. whistling at milfs & Au Pairs

Semi Target: whistling at smoke shows your own age hunting big game splitting wood by hand

non-target (do you even list interests if you’re applying to janitor positions?): chess cooking IU Kelley

WHERE IS CROSSFIT THO? DOING THE WOD AT THE BOX A MAJOR PART OF MY IDENTITY.

Nah everyone I know who put "poker" on their resume in undergrad was a hardo striver who ended up at the "Point 72 academy" before being summarily pushed out and becoming a "personal investor"

Edits please, revisions are required. Interested to hear your take on boxing/muay thai, too aggressive/tryhard or a overall cool alpha dude?

I think they would definitely have to look the part to not be considered tryhard. Nothing crazy, but a solid V-taper and some calloused hands would definitely help.
