Lying about major on resume

I'm currently attempting to internally transfer into my college's business program and was wondering if I could list that major instead on my resume/LinkedIn. The business school is perceived as more prestigious and if everything goes according to plan, my major should be switched by next semester.

I understand it's definitely bending the truth, but I figure it's not technically lying if I graduate with that degree. Do recruiters go through the trouble of checking and how much trouble would I be in if I did get caught? I'm just trying to gauge whether the pros outweigh the cons.
