Anyone have experience @ Stern or AEM (cornell)? (undergrad

I'm looking at transferring to these, and others, but these seem to be the most reasonable with my stats, and was wondering if anyone had attended/attends either and the cons/pluses of each. ie. itnernship/job placement, faculty, social life, etc...

If this is in the wrong section please move.

Admissions? Well...the entire point of this thread is to find out about a college before I spend 70 bucks applying to a place you tell me sucks...

When you're slightly older, you would have wished you apply to Harvard, Princeton, Yale...even with little chance...it's worth 200bucks of rejection letters!!! I'm not joking! @#$%@^$@#

they're saying that you may have a 75% chance at both of them, you should probably apply to both of them to increase your chances of getting into a target school. i know it sucks, i am in the same position you are, i am planning like $600 for application fees. Id love to use the "fee waiver" but im not sure how that looks.

how can I use the fee waiver, I'm white and my moms a doctor (fuck!) And I might just go all out and apply to every single school I want to go to, but what if I get rejected from all of them?

Dude, I appreciate your interest in this profession.

so what if i can run lines with gordan gekko better than they did in boiler room? would it impress you that i can make vin diesel look like a misquoting non dedicated loser? thats right, my dedication is supreme.

on a serious note, well if your mom is a doctor then i guess you wont get a fee waiver, anyway, good luck and im just applying to all the ones i want and even if i only have a 10% chance, well i gave it my best shot you know?

I'm still depressed about being rejected from Wharton (because my school didn't send: deans report, final transcript, letters, a fucking rec!) I mean, I could've been rejected anyways, but at least then I'd have known it was me, now I just feel like I fucking wasted 70 bucks...and I don't even know what classes to take this upcoming year, i have a few finance lined up, but what if I get into only ONE college and it doesn't have business undergrad :| My life is one big fuck-up (academically that is...)

Econ sucks. I go to harvard and we dont have finance. But people get into ibanking from other stuff, not just econ (math, anthropology, psych, government, history, etc). Plus from what I here, you dont really use what you learn in ec anyway.

harvard syntax...

^I'm sorry but I find your comment a bit humorous. you do realize who you have teaching econ at Harvard right? But I understand where you're coming from. I would kill for a chance at harvard, or pen..or yale..not so much princeton.

this guy must be asian

bankingoninve you are a ****ing retard. hey here is a thought: maybe you got rejected because you are a nerdy ass loser asian, like wharton's other 10000 rejectees. it's up to you to get the reports ready NOT YOUR DAMN SCHOOL. your teacher recommendations are supposed to be solicited by YOU, and the teachers are supppose to be given a STAMPED ENVELOPE. if you are even in a good school, youd know that princeton is the bset of these schools. just gtfo of this forum

Man, glad I'm not the only one who finds this kid so annoying. And secondly, there's a admin that keeps on erasing my posts even though they aren't offensive.

good job blaming on others..

ever thought about a follow up?

he said he was white, but that's beside the point. His annoyance transcends race. i'm in aem but i'd suggest going to stern instead just so you can bother sternfox and so i don't have to deal with you asking annoying questions in my classes.

banklove: office said they sent them, admitted it was "internal error"...(some sort of hidden racism towards asians, possibly lost to them throughout competitions in life?) sternfox: another useless reply monekyintraining: another useless reply.

You guys sure can't read and seem pretty annoying yourselves...if you find me annoying, then why do you make it a habit to reply in EACH and EVERY thread? I know your answer will be shitty already...

To those helping me out, thank you.

I like your comments...maybe you need to learn how to write. Did your parents pay for you to get into an IVY and still get rejected?

I understand what you mean, apps cost money. But you should apply to as many as you can (Michigan is a good school too, I heard UVA is hard for out of staters). Maybe even take out loans if necessary or try to find a paying internship. I was lucky to get a pretty good internship which will help me decide my future. But the money also helps pay for apps.

Both Stern and Cornell AEM is good. Sternfox is right in that sense. But, I had friends who went to Cornell and they did pretty well.

I went to Stern, and it is a good school, lemme know what you want to know specifically. But listen to Bryan1 too. That wasn't a useless reply, I wish someone had told me that when i was in HS.

And don't be "depressed" about getting rejected from Wharton, that's just a waste of time and everyone has sob stories.

their transfer recruiter told me that she couldn't remember a time they had taken a transfer into the business school. reason being you have to take their required courses for like 3 years or something.
