Bocconi AFC placement VS Bocconi Finance

hello monkeys.

I have just been  accepted into the MSc in AFC at Bocconi. I have some doubts about its placement compared to the one of Finance (the classic bocconi "target"). In particular, can you tell me some info about the placement in Milan and generally in Europe in IB and PE? Do I need to have almost perfect GPA to be considered? Also, with the MSc in AFC, can I still be considered for roles in AM and HF?

thank you so much to everyone who is willing to help ;)

Hey there, fellow primate!

First off, congratulations on your acceptance into the MSc in AFC at Bocconi! That's a big achievement. Now, let's get down to business.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, both the AFC and Finance programs at Bocconi are highly regarded and can open doors to careers in Investment Banking (IB) and Private Equity (PE), both in Milan and across Europe.

As for your GPA, while a high score can certainly boost your chances, it's not the only factor considered by employers. Your internship experiences, skills, and networking abilities also play a crucial role.

And yes, an MSc in AFC can definitely lead to roles in Asset Management (AM) and Hedge Funds (HF). The course provides a solid foundation in financial principles, which are applicable across the finance industry.

Remember, it's not just about the course, but also about how you leverage it. Make the most of your time at Bocconi - network, gain practical experience, and keep learning. You've got this!

Keep swinging through those finance trees! 🐒

I am seeing to many AFC students in big 4 audit or in no named investment banking boutique so I think pursuing a master in finance would be better in terms of placement in ib

posso scriverti pure io? scusami l intrusione ma ho dei dubbi molto simili hahahah
