Copenhagen Business School/Tilburg/Lunds
Of the 3, which would be the best? I know that none of them are really prestigious or target schools but they are cheap. I will do a MS in finance and I am leaning towards Tilburg. CBS is 2 years so Im not sure about that.
At CBS you will have the chance to apply to summer internships during your first year and this is a strong pro if you want to end up in banking. Plus, I have a friend who completed is MSc there and has just joined DB as full time analyst (following and internship at MS)... so the school is at least a semi-target. Probably Tilburg has the best finance program among those schools but I would go with CBS since it is the top school in that country (while RSM is probably more known than Tilburg) and the 2 yrs program will allow you to get an internship during the summer. I would not go to Lunds if I can choose.
Wow I appreciate your input. The reason why Im hesitant with CBS is that their labour market is very stringent and although Im confident I could get an internship in the summer, I dont think I would be able to get a full time position within Denmark after my studies?
Where are you from and what job are you looking for and where? CBS, is probably the second best business school in Scandinavia following SSE. Therefore your application will be competitive. At the same time, you will be able to move to UK and find a job in Investment Banking, Consulting, Big 4, etc. Obv. it does depend on where you want to work in the future. If you are from Swedem and want to work there, then Lund should be your choice. If you are from the Netherlands, then Tillburg. Finally, if you want to work in Denmark, CBS is your best bet. On the other hand, if you want to work outside of these countries, I would pick CBS.
Well I really like CBS more than Tilburg, but its 2 years long, and it costs 24,000 EUR for tuition alone. Factor in 2 years of deferred salary, this is very costly so Im not sure if its worth the money even though I must say CBS has a lot of brand appeal
Tilburg is 12,000 EUR, 1 year program, and cost of living is much lower, but I dont think anyone has heard of Tilburg. The upside is that Dutch is easier to learn than Danish and I think itd be easier getting a job in Netherlands
But the again, Amsterdam doesnt seem to be much of a financial city. I will mostly apply in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Brussels and Luxembourg for jobs
So far I am leaning more towards Tilburg for cost reasons, what would you recommend? Should I get out a loan and do the 2 year program at the better school? I feel like such a lazy tard not working for 2 years and "studying"
I like CBS....I think its a target university for all Nordic countries,...The only thing - Danish language is very hard to learn/

For a MSC in Accounting/Finance with a CFA track, which would you choose among the 3? I will have a CFA level 2 when I graduate....
CBS, 2 year program, full scholarship Tilburg, 1 year program Lunds, 1 year program
I know that none of these schools have any prestige, but for anyone knowledgable about the European education market, what are your opinions?
CBS is a good school for Scandinavia...I wouldnt say that it does not have any prestige... I would personally chose it ,full ride + Copenhagen is a nice place to live in.
I'm not too aware of it, but believe that Lunds may also have a decent school and networking base.
